Door Shield pricing does not include freight costs. We ship Ex-Works Denver. We work with multiple expediters to find the lowest cost carrier that is reliable, and that does not try to add additional charges after we have shipped. Our freight expediters cannot charge 3rd parties. If you need to ship via your carrier(s) under your account, we will provide you with the information you will need to prepare a BOL that you will send to us.
There are several important considerations to take into account when planning an order. Door Shields come in cartons of five, except size 4080, which is available in any quantity.
For orders of up to 20 units (3070/3080) or fewer than 5 units (4080), we typically use FedEx Ground as it is more cost-effective than LTL shipping. Broadly speaking, as the quantity being shipped increases, the freight cost per unit decreases. We have learned that the most efficient pallet size for freight cost is as shown below:
| Door Size | Series | Most Efficient Pallet size for Freight |
|---|---|---|
| 3070 | Protector Series | 50 units |
| 3080 | Protector Series | 50 units |
| 3070 | 200 Series | 70 units |
| 3080 | 200 Series | 70 units |
| 4080 | Protector Series | 25 units |
